FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) was founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen to inspire an appreciation of science and technology in young people. ALA is proud to welcome back FIRST as a partner for LabAutomation2009. Once again this year, we will feature two teams from California in the Member Center; Team Spyder from Poway, CA and the Tehachapi Cyber Penguins from Tehachapi, CA. Make sure to visit these outstanding young scientists as they display and operate their winning robots in the ALA Member Center.
